Photonic Microfabrication Engineer (m/f/d)

Your mission
  • Making things real using microfabrication technologies (or anything else that works!)
  • Planning, implementation and validation of microfabrication process flows in close collaboration with our partners
  • Management of partners, processes and wafers
  • Benchmarking and evaluation of processes
  • Metrology and supervision of manufacturing processes
  • Continuous improvement of our knowledge and expertise in all relevant areas
Your profile
  • Master or PhD degree with a strong focus on microfabrication
  • Experience in managing complex processes and networks of partners
  • Experience in different metrology techniques such as SEM, AFM, and thin film characterization
  • Experience in fabrication of integrated photonics is a big plus
  • Hands-on experience in several different processing techniques such as lithography, dry etching, wet etching, deposition is a plus
  • Flexibility for working hours and locations is a plus
  • Very good language skills in English, both written and spoken; other languages are a plus
  • Python skills are always welcome

Q.ANT is a high-tech startup driving and industrialising photonic quantum technology, pushing the borders to new fields of application and processes. The company was founded in 2018 and is part of the TRUMPF Group. Q.ANT develops quantum sensors and photonic chips and processors for quantum computing based on its Quantum Photonic Framework. Focusing on its four product lines of Photonic Computing, Particle Metrology, Atomic Gyroscopes and Magnetic Sensing, the company engages with a broad array of industries and applications ranging all the way from medical technology and autonomous vehicles to aerospace, machinery, and the process industry.
