Photonic Integrated Circuit Characterization Engineer (m/f/d)

Your mission
  • Characterization of photonic integrated circuits in terms of optical power, losses, and bandwidth.
  • Development and implementation of test plans for the evaluation of PIC prototypes.
  • Application of measurement techniques including spectral analysis, interferometry, and advanced optical characterization methods.
  • Analysis and interpretation of test results for identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaboration with design teams for suggestions and implementations of design improvements.
  • Documentation of characterization results and preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional teamwork with experts in integrated photonics, quantum computing, and other relevant departments.
Your profile
  • Completed studies in photonics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • Experience in characterization of photonic integrated circuits.
  • Knowledge of using optical measurement instruments and tools.
  • Programming knowledge, preferably in scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and excellent communication skills.
