Working student or intern (m/f/d) for characterization of nonlinear modules

Your mission
▪ Together with the team, you will drive the development of innovative nonlinear optical
optical components
▪ You will develop, adjust and use optical setups and measurement methods for the characterization of optical components
▪ You will have the opportunity to actively support and improve our development processes and products
Your profile
▪ You are studying physics, photonics, electrical engineering or a comparable field of study
▪ You have basic knowledge and above all an interest in applied optics and enjoy practical laboratory work
▪ You enjoy numbers and statistics, especially in the application of statistical methods to improve of development processes
▪ You have basic knowledge of a programming language, ideally Python
▪ You have a good command of English, which you can use and get along with our international team
▪ You are looking forward to working independently in an interdisciplinary team who works on high-tech projects 
▪ You would like to help us shape the future of photonics

Who we are and what we do

Q.ANT is a high-tech startup driving and industrialising photonic quantum technology, pushing the borders to new fields of application and processes. The company was founded in 2018 and is part of the TRUMPF Group. Q.ANT develops quantum sensors and photonic chips and processors for quantum computing based on its Quantum Photonic Framework. Focusing on its four product lines of Photonic Computing, Particle Metrology, Atomic Gyroscopes and Magnetic Sensing, the company engages with a broad array of industries and applications ranging all the way from medical technology and autonomous vehicles to aerospace, machinery, and the process industry. Q.ANT employs more than 100 people at its site in Stuttgart/Southern Germany.
