Senior Systems Engineer – Photonic Circuits & High-Speed Electronics Integration

Your mission

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you and your team will play a pivotal role in integrating and verifying our advanced photonic and electronic systems. Your responsibilities will extend beyond assembly and testing – you’ll be the bridge between innovative design and proven performance. By running experiments on new components and concepts, you’ll contribute directly to the future of our groundbreaking technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integration & Verification: Lead the assemble, test, and troubleshoot of photonic circuits and high-speed electronic systems in our labs.
  • Experimentation: Design and execute experiments to evaluate new components, materials, and ideas.
  • System Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance specifications and identify areas for improvement.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze experimental results and system performance, providing feedback to the R&D and design teams.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of integration processes, experimental setups, and results.
Your profile
  • Experience: Proven integration and test experience with photonic circuit and high-speed electronics, analog and digital.
  • Educational Background: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Hands-on expertise in lab environments, including testing and troubleshooting.
    • Knowledge of photonic and electronic components (e.g., lasers, modulators, fibers, amplifiers, high-speed ADCs/DACs, FPGAs).
    • Proficiency in measurement tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills to quickly assess challenges in the lab and make sound, data-driven decisions.
    • Clear and concise communication skills to ensure that goals, tasks, and feedback are understood.
    • The ability to inspire, guide, and support team members while fostering their professional growth.
    • Self-starter with a passion for experimentation and innovation.
